Good morning, honourable colleagues,
we would like to inform all of you that our Kingdom hasbecome aware of a the rise of a communist regime in the State of Vinerstand, after a coup d'etat against the Federal government.
Most important, the Jewish Monarchy of Bankampar has declared its support toward them, preparing for the sending of a military contigent.
Since Bankampar it's under complete embargo by our joint forces, this is a clear violation, and our government has just declared that we'll answer with the immediate stop of any transport.
We hope to hear your position, honourable allies, since this is a clear threat, and the Treaty imposes to us to intervene against the proliferation of totalitarianisms.

An elegant breathless person entered in the room. She was young (maybe less than thirty years old), short and quite overweight, with brown hair and deep blue eyes.

"Good morning!" she said, embarassed. Then she took the sit reserved to Lord Zerek De Reja.

"I'm the Countess Joannah De Saba, vice Prime Minister of Casavarr and the Grand Duke's delegate. I'm bringing His Majesty's apology for not being here today, because of personal and urgent issues. Moreover, I'm sorry for being late, since we have had some inconveniences regarding our jet escort.
Lord Zerek De Reja opinion about the current situation is to not interfere, nor sending aids to Vinerstand population. His Enlightened Eminence is concerned about being caught between two fires: the Sassinians and comunists on one side; the Axis of Independent Powers, which actually supports the provvisorial government with the obvious aim of taking over at the end of the conflict, on the other.
Both of the solutions they propose would lead to a totalitarian regime in Vinerstand anyway and our operations on that land could involve us in another war, which Casavarr can not sustain."

Joannah was flushed with embarassment while she talked directly to Orhzov and New Tarajan representatives at the end of her speech:

"Casavarr will confirm its efforts in Bankampar embargo, as New Tarajan and Orhzov suggest. However, we formally ask to New Tarajan to withdraw your forces from Vinerstand territorial sea and to stop sending aids to a potentially totalitarian regime, untill we haven't the assurance that the previous order will be restored".

Conrad Van Vinkel saw the figure of Countess Joannah entering the hall and taking the seat of the Grand Duke with his typical impassive attitude.
Although, at the end of her speech, he smiled toward them, however returning immediately serious:

"Very well, Your Excellency." he stated toward the girl: "Again, His Highness De Reja is demonstrating his great political wisdom. We know very well the situation is becoming too unstable, and ambigous, for a very effective intervention. However, simply retreating from this crisis would potentially damage our international reputation. We agree to follow your position, but also we suggest to offer our mediation toward the two factions, expressing also our position toward the possibilities of a totalitarian restauration in Vinerstand."

After a brief pause, he continues with a brief note: "Also, we would using the occasion of this meeting, to invite all SECURS members to the Great Ball at the Royal Estate of Vieneskel, where Our Glorious King will choose his new wife, and Queen of New Tarajan."(link here: http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=211627)

Then, he stop, looking toward his colleagues.

The Countess was trying to focus as best as she could. She had been vice Prime Minister just for few weeks, nominated by the old Lord Alcide De Jaspers himself between the most talented graduate of Casavarr University. She was proud to be the representative of her country in such a crucial moment, but, also, she was scared that she could say something wrong or act in an unappropriate way. Most of all, she was terrified to cause an international incident.
On her back, journalists of the Casavarrian Foreign Affairs Press Office were frenetically typing and taking notes of every word said by them.
As the speech of the Marquis Van Vinkel ended, without thinking if that was the Grand Duke's intention, but guided by instinct and adrenaline, she immediately answered:

"A mediation attempt would be an excellent choice! And His Enlightened Majesty will be immediately informed about the ball!"

The Prime Minister nearly jumps on the chair hearing the enthusiasm in the voice of the Countess, however immediately regaining a more composed attitude.

"Very well, milady." he says "I suggest, however, that the new political address decided here would be expressed in an official communiquè of all the SECURS, and not only by our government. In this way, we'll reinforce the idea of a unified foreign policy."

He carefully watch at the young girl, during a brief pause, then he continues: "And I'm really glad to hear His Highness will be immediately informed of the Ball. His Majesty sincerely hopes in a great participation from Casavarr."
