we are sorry to break out the program to broadcast the last news from Tarajan City.
Two hours ago, our beloved and glorious sovereign, Friederick Wilhelm II Van Vinkel, was victim of a failed attempt of assassination. The killer tried his terrible crime during a pausa from the Great Ball hosted in the Royal Estate of Vieneskel.
From the latest informations, we know he succeeded only to wound the right arm of the King.
The rapid intervention of two Royal Guards avoided the worst, however, it seems the assassin succeeded to escape, for the moment.

Marquis Conrad Van Vinkel, Prime Minister and cousin of the King, releaseda brief interview before re-entering in the Royal Estate:
"This crime will not remain unpunished. Who attempted to the life of our King, attempted to the life and security of all of us, of all our Kingdom. This is clearly the work of a subversive individual, and I feel as I can see behind the hand of the terrorist the red flag of blood of our mortal enemy: maybe communists, or maybe whoever hopes to destroy our secirty and prosperity.
But the important thing is he failed: our King is alive, and he expressed few minutes ago his intention to continue with the Ball and to choose his wife, and future Queen, as programmed.

After this brief declaration, General Chief of the R.D.B., Lord Van Bierghenaus, stated the attack "can be the work also of a separatist group, and we'll monitor more closely the activities of the OLS."
